Born and raised in the Northern Burlington Community, it seemed a great fit to expand my career right at home. I graduated from Rider University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education. I started the first part of my career at another local high school teaching Business for 14 years. I joined the NB Business Department in 2016.
My students are challenged to work in an independent environment. Students are encouraged to use the digital world to help them connect lessons to the current business trends. As technology and business advance, our students need to learn skills to help them achieve their career goals. Skills are developed only by application. The use of hands-on, interactive projects will allow my students to gain these most important skills.
Besides teaching, I enjoy relating my course content back to my own experiences. I am an entrepreneur and own 2 businesses. Staying connected with industry helps me create a broader scope of content for students to relate to. I can give them the real experiences that cannot be taught from a scenario in a textbook.
In my room, students are encouraged to broaden their thoughts, try something new, and grow independently by learning new skills that will last a lifetime.
