Hello, my name is Mr. Craig.
I grew up as Army BRAT that lived internationally and across the country, but spent most of my childhood in Lumberton, NJ. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 2003. I then worked in the Civil Engineering industry just long enough (~ 4.5 years) to earn my Professional Engineering license in the State of New Jersey. I continue to maintain that license with the State and utilize it in the summer months with local engineering entities.
While working as an engineer in the mid 2000’s, I volunteered with a Christian youth organization in Middlesex County called Young Life, realized my affinity for working with youth and sought to become a high school teacher. I enrolled in the State’s Alternate Route to teaching program in 2007 and now maintain teaching certificates in both Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
After serving 2 years at Perth Amboy High School in Middlesex County, I moved back to South Jersey to be closer to family and was delighted to find employment at Northern in 2009. I have taught both Geometry and Algebra II at Northern but now find myself teaching in the Physical Sciences exclusively. I currently teach AP Physics 1, Physics, and Physical Science but have also served as a Chemistry teacher. My greatest joy at Northern is found as a volunteer advisor to Blue and Grey Night.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children. We love to play sports, hike, read and eat!
