I have been teaching at Northern Burlington since 2005. I went to Ithaca College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and went to work immediately following graduation. I worked for 10 years in the business world and decided it was not my passion so I decided to go back to school. I went to Holy Family University where I earned my education degree and a Master of Education.
I have spent most of my years in the Special Education/Mathematics department. I enjoy working with students and helping them be able to grasp new topics. I individually work with students to meet their needs and help them be successful and hopefully learn to like math.
I have done many extra curricular jobs at NB. I have been a new teacher advisor since 2008, leading the SOS program. I have run Class Council for multiple years; I planned a prom and a Disney senior trip. I was a sector rep for the NBCRTA for many years and served as the Secretary as well. I have taught the Extended Year Program for our students who are multiply disabled as well as coached Special Olympics. I have taught the extended day math program for many years. I am currently the Department Leader for Special Education. It has been a pleasure to serve both our students and teachers.
I reside in Pennsylvania with my husband and two children TJ and Lindsey. I look forward to many more years to come here at Northern!
